In the news, here in Virginia is a story of cruelty that is as shocking as it is sad.
Men pitting animals against each other, making money, as dogs fight, maim, and kill each other.
It is difficult to believe such activities go on in our day... right here in everyday life.
All I can say is that any guy who can be this cruel is not a nice guy. Any guy who finds pleasure in animals being hurt is despicable, and guys who purposely set out to make money by promoting and encouraging animals to harm or kill each other is twisted.
I hope any guy who is engaged in such cruel behavior is removed from society for a long time!

its a sad sad thing. I am now the "dad" to 4 dogs and although I had been more of a cat person in my past, I have mad love for dogs. I think that it is ridiculous that this type of behavior is still a form of entertainment.
When the Romans hosted gladiator tournaments, modern history frowned on them. What's the difference? NOTHING!!
Jennifer, I agree wholeheartedly; and to be blunt, also feel that way about hunting in general. If you can be cruel and inhumane in one aspct of your life -- you have that in you.

This is another version of Boxing!!No body shouting against boxing because it is 'sport' . Human being can do the fight with the hands. Dogs can do with the teeth.

If two guys want to fight each other for money, I'm OK with it.. I don't like it or get it but it is their business...
But for them to force dogs to hurt, maim, and kill each other... that is just sick!

When I first saw this on the news a few weeks ago, my heart sank.
As a huge animal lover and vegetarian, this type of thing sickens me. It doesnt matter to me if a man does this, or a woman, it is beyond reprehensible. I hope, if true, this man reaps what he sows. I heard there are 40,000 dog fights here in the US? I hope that is not true. The images on television, are beyond horrifying. I honestly can not see one of those pictures without starting to cry. And those poor animals, will probably be destroyed as they are too dangerous for people to own. What about them?
My heart breaks for those poor, defensless animals.
