Grown Men who still act like teenagers have some issues.

Now, we all love the young at heart and there is something fabulous about men who still retain a sense of youth but guys that think it is cool to act like they are sixteen need some help... and not from you.

There are those men we occasionally come across who just got stuck. For whatever reason they hit their teenage years and never moved on. This is a problem.

As a therapist we look at develomental issues and there are books and books about why some folks just don't develop in normal healthy ways but for purposes of this blog lets just say that regardless of the reasons for the "stuckness", best not to hook up with these guys.

Our teenage years are crazy. Some people loved those years, others hate them. But almost always people look upon their adolescence as a time of struggle, experiment, unchecked emotion, questioning, confusion, and discovery.

This often difficult time is necessary as a beginning of our self discovery. What is not necessary is to remain there.

Great men are men who mature, who grow, who progress. They are men who let go of their boyhood to embrace their manhood. They release immaturity for strength. They move from superficiality to depth.

They become real men.
